This was the music my schools MB did for 2023 when I first ever joined MB, and this song will always have a spot in my heart.

Im in my freshman year of highschool and this was my very first year of marching purccussion in a show, and the upper classman snares were not able to make it because they were playing at the football game, and when the solo came on i was so stressed that when i did the solo flawlessley i screamed with joy. Good times

last marching season I played flute and I wish we played this because the flute part through the whole song is so cool, but I'm drum minor and my friend is drum major so I'm pretty excited to conduct this

This is going to be my 2025 field show for next year, when i'm a sophomore! I'm so exited to play it! My marching band played one of your other field shows "Undercover" for my freshman year, I'm super exited! XD My friend wants to play the trumpet solo in mvmt 2, the flutes are so pretty! <3

I have to play this in a concert on the 30th wish me luck😭😭

My senior year (2016-2017) we performed this, I was in the pit on vibraphone. 7 years later, I moved and found all my music for this performance. I’m now married with two kids. 7 years wasn’t that long ago.

I was only ever taught by Mr. Schmutz for one year in middle school, but even so I was so grateful to perform this piece for him, the first time it was ever performed live. It was even more special knowing his son was the lead trumpet and played the solo during that show, a beautiful way to memorialize someone who touched so many souls with his music and his kindness.

4:04 the big hit for the ballad…. There’s supposed to be about 16 bars before this that are edited out where the original performers of this piece would basically shapeshift the drill pattern and then about 6 bars before you hear the trombone come in and go dotted half note C dotted half note F crescendo we all hit our spots and then BOOM. I get it GPG edited it for time but the original intent of those transition spots was to allow for fun with the circus act and with the drill, that was one of melton’s favorite things when he composed marching band stuff for CMHS, there was always something in there that was as much about the drill and performance as it was the music, same with the other piece “Boundaries” that the OG’s know as plan of attack

Ok it’s been 10 years, it’s time for GPG to give us the Cimarron-Memorial Unedited unredacted version, there’s a good 20 seconds chopped off circus after dark and probably another 15-20 seconds chopped off false awakening, and bit of edit to three ring nightmare’s ending too.

Just got this for marching band... it was our band's second choice to Twisted by GPG.

I played bassoon when we premiered this at Carnegie Hall my sophomore year - I had never read this story until now, but it really added to the experience of listening to this piece again.
